HKYWCA received two awards from ERB’s “Manpower Development Scheme”

The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) organised the ERB 25th Anniversary Closing Ceremony cum the 10th ERB “Manpower Development Scheme” Award Presentation Ceremony to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. The Association received 2 awards which acknowledged our invaluable support to ERB. Corporate partners and trainees we nominated were also honoured.

The Association obtained the “ERB Training Course Management Award” and “ERB25 Training Award”. HKYWCA is one of the training bodies appointed by ERB and provides high-quality continuing education for the public to develop professional knowledge and skills to meet the needs of society.

The Association recommended our corporate partners to join the scheme and 13 of them received the employer award for their support to manpower development. Besides, two trainees nominated by the Association obtained the award for their excellent achievements. The two awardees were Mr. Yuen, who took the Foundation Certificate in Care-related Support Worker Training, and Ms. Ho, who took the Foundation Certificate in Post-natal Care Worker Training. Mr. Yuen has always wanted to be a nurse but his academic results did not allow him to pursue his dream. After working in the retail industry for three years, he took the Foundation Certificate in Care-related Support Worker Training and was hired as contract Executive Assistant upon graduation. He was promoted later because of his great performance. He works hard in his current position and plans to enhance his skills for developing his career.

The Association is glad to be awarded and will continue to work with ERB to provide training programmes to the public.
