CityU volunteers visited elderly, greeting the Year of the Rooster

Volunteers from City University of Hong Kong visited the Association’s Wan Wah Care & Attention Home for the Elderly before the Chinese New Year. They accompanied the elders and their family members to have the year-end meal, played games and sang typical CNY songs.

Over 30 volunteers arrived at the Home for the Elderly and met 150 elders for the first time. Apart from the meal, they prepared mini games with distinguishing CNY features, e.g. Fai Chun, red packets and candy box. They also gave singing performance and invited the participants to sing along. At last, they sent out gifts to the elders, giving the event a perfect ending.

HKYWCA was grateful for CityU organising such visit and greeting the seniors during the traditional Chinese festival. We wish everyone good health and happiness in the year ahead.
